Freetown – Lungi International Airport (FNA)

This is the only international airport in Sierra Leone and is separated from the capital city, Freetown, by the Sierra Leone River. This means public transport takes you across the water. The quickest way of travelling to Freetown is on either the Seacoach Express or Sea Bird Express water taxi. The journey time for these methods is 25-30 minutes but it can be rather bumpy. Of course, if you get seasick it is possible to get to Freetown by land; but it will take you over 3 hours.
